Monroe Bank & Trust is proud of our 150-plus year heritage as well as our ENLIST volunteer service organization composed of MBT employees! ENLIST is one of the nation’s premier models of corporate-employee volunteerism. Each year, the ENLIST organization holds fundraising events for non-profit organization(s) within the communities we serve, in addition to volunteering an average of 8,000 man hours of time.
2017 Fundraising Program
Thank you to the many organizations that submitted applications to be considered for the 2017 ENLIST Annual Fundraiser. Please join us in congratulating the following organizations as ENLIST 2017 fundraising recipients:
- Bed Race to Aid Children/Now I lay me down to Sleep Ministry Since 2001 the Bed Ministry has given away over 2500 beds to children in need. The Children who receive a bed are also given a new pillow, bedding (sheets, and blankets, or quilts), a stuffed animal, and a book.
- Vista Maria Delivers innovative care, support, treatment and education to vulnerable youth so that they heal, believe in their worth, and build the skills needed to succeed.
- ChristNet Provides temporary overnight emergency housing assistance and other services to homeless men, women and children. We do this by providing a safe secure sleeping space indoors; offering three meals per day; and by maintaining a case manager who identifies and coordinates mainstream resources to help those in need restabilize their lives. ChristNet promotes cooperation among churches and non-profit organizations as we strive to assist our brothers and sisters in God’s family.
- The Devoted Barn An animal rescue and rehabilitation facility in Newport, Michigan. Tending to animals of all kinds from cruelty, neglect, and large scale hoarding cases. Helping animals that are unowned and in need of urgent medical attention. In addition to a large feral dog program. These animals come to The Devoted Barn to heal both physically and emotionally. In addition to helping the animals, our mission to is to teach compassion & empathy to others through working with our animals.
