This program, called Help for Michigan's Hardest Hit Homeowner, is aimed to help homeowners who are at high risk of default or foreclosure.
The program is administered by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). MSHDA has established an online application accessed through www.stepforwardmichigan.org.
Applications for those without internet access can be done through the MSHDA Call Center at 1-866-946-7432.
Eligibility for this program is determined by the State of Michigan pursuant to your application information. Your current loan servicer or originator does not determine your eligibility.
