FRAUD ALERT!
There are two scam attempts currently in progress.
1. Fraudulent text messages are being sent to cell phones stating that your ATM card has been suspended and giving an 800 number to call. The message reads as follows:
This is an automated message from MBT. Your ATM card has been suspended. To reactivate call 866-440-7789
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER. This message was not initiated or sent by Monroe Bank & Trust. As always, Monroe Bank & Trust will never request personal information such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, user IDs, PINs or passwords via e-mail, telephone or by fax.

2. Fraudulent emails purporting to be from The Electronic Payments Association are in circulation. Please understand that this is a "Phishing" attempt and is designed to trick you into revealing sensitive information relative to you bank account.
