Committed to our Communities
Awards & Recognition
As our country faces some of the most challenging days since the Great Depression, we remain steadfast to our mission of being "the premier independent provider of financial services in each of the communities we serve."
MBT has been recognized locally and nationally as a model of community - corporate citizenship, setting a standard for other institutions to emulate.
Most recently, MBT was honored to receive The Governor's Award for Community Service and, nationally, The Presidential Gold Volunteer Service Award in recognition of the MBT ENLIST (Employees Now Linked in Service Together) volunteer service corps. MBT claimed these awards by providing approximately 10,000 hours of vital volunteer service to organizations and events throughout Southeast Michigan.
We were especially proud that our employee volunteers willingly provide hundreds of hours of critical community service far above the efforts of corporations many times our size.
Our MBTeach Financial Literacy curriculum earned national recognition claiming the American Bankers Association National Community Bank Award in the Financial Literacy category. Quite an accomplishment for a "community bank."
But the recognition of a "job well done" we cherish most comes from the people we directly serve: the residents, businesses and organizations - our neighbors - in Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio who have honored us with such award as The Beacon Award for Excellence in Community Trusteeship and Monroe's Best Bank in Monroe Evening News polls.
